my manifesto 2016
/my manifesto 2016
It seems, in our world today, everything is disposable. Bottles, cups, shoes, phones, jobs and unfortunately....love. We are living in a transient state of everything. Have we lost meaning in nearly everything? We wonder why we do not know our purpose in life.
Are we a generation of instant gratification? With no patience to wait on hold, to wait for a raise, to wait in line, to wait for....anything?
We want the constant thrill of something new and exciting. We value multiple careers over one career that challenges us to the depths of our core. We value multiple loves over one love who knows our soul and body inside and out.
Are we a generation of urgency over patience? Choosing short term satisfaction over and over and over again. And then we wonder why our steady state is not fulfilling.
We are alone together. We are simultaneously closer and more distant to each other. We are closer to those far away and farther from those close to us.
One could be saddened that this is our state of being and this defines our generation. Or we can accept and love what is, and make decisions that bring meaning to life.
I am an eternal optimist and I believe in the good of man. I believe that those of us who understand our meaning of life will find one another.
All of us with eternal optimism, integrity, and a social construction of the true human spirit. All of us who do not move from a state of Fear. But rather, a state of Love.
All of us, we see the world through different eyes.
We have conviction. When we are in alignment, we don't hold back. We know one's value. We don't need to explore the world or meet every human on earth to know when we meet one of value. We don't need to explore multiple bodies and souls to know when we have found a soulmate. A soulmate…a friend, a brother, a sister, a romance. All are forms of pure love.
We don't hide behind fear. We say "I love you". And that doesn't scare us. Because we know our truth. And where there is truth, there is no fear.
